VSTS 2008 with VSS 2005

Will the Visual Studio team System 2008 works with VSS 2005 server?

We are facing lots of problems during the checkout and check in files using VSTS 2008 IDE to the server VSS 2005

Hi,

You may receive error messages when integrate VS 2008 with VSS. You can try installing CTP to fix some problems.

If the problem persists, you can post your detailed error messages here.

Hi Anoop,

You can right-click the items you want to remove in the Solution Explorer and click Delete. Then a dialog box will be prompted asking you whether to delete the items in the source control store. You can choose the proper option according to your needs.

Thanks.

We are using VSTS 2008 as an IDE and VSS 2005 version as source control server.

We are trying to checkin and checkout the files to VSS serverusingVSTS IDE

Some of the file getting checked in but not getting binded to the solution. When we try to access the same usingVSTS IDe in another machine thefiles will be avaailable in the local file system, butnot getting loaded to the IDE.

We have destroyed some files in the VSS server using VSS client. but when we checkin using VSTS IDE after the taking latest version, The deleted files are getting checked in. How can i remove that in VSTS IDE
