Pending checkins window popup when VS2008 starts up

I am using VS2008 with "multiple document" window layout. When I double-click ".sln" file to open solution, "Pending checkins" pane is always displayed at the bottom for short term, no matter what. It is gone as soon as the solution was loaded. But that will shrink the source code window size. I have to resize the window again every single time. This is really annoying. But this issue was gone on one of PCs in my office. I don't know what affected and how to do it.

This must be a bug and all MDI-preferred uses are experiencing every day.

Hi Hikaru Okada,

If you don't want to see Pending Checkins Windows popup, you can uncheck perform backround status updates under Tools > Options > Source Control > Plug-in Settings. This Option automatically updates the source control signal icons in Solution Explorer as an item's status changes. So unchecking this option will stop automatically updating the source control signal icons.
