Invalid SourceSafe Syntax for files containg '$' character in name

Hi Forum,
While adding a folder containing set of sub-folders and files to a project in VSS using VSS explorer, i encounter a information/warning for files which contains a '$' character in their name. Hence i cannot add these to VSS.

I have seen some threads in this forum discussing about this, but are not closed.

please help, and let me know if there is a solution or work around for the same,

i aslo need tocheck-in/check-out these files.

Hi,

VSS does not support the % character in filenames. I recommend you reaname these files and then add them to VSS again.
