XNA 2.0 Causes VS 2005 to stop

Hello,

I have been using VS 2005 on an XP machine.  Yesterday I downloaded and installed XNA 2.0.  Now if I start a new project, select C# and then XNA 2.0, VS will quit.  There are no errors or warning signs.  The project I go to creat seems to be created (all the new folders are there) but VS will not load the XNA project.  I can still load and create all other types of projects.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thank you.

George

Hello George,

You may verify that whether you have applied Windows XP Service Pack 2 on your machine. If not, please upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 2, then obtain the latest updates for Visual Studio from Microsoft Update, run the Microsoft XNA Game Studio 2.0 installer and Launch Visual Studio from the Microsoft XNA Game Studio 2.0 folder on the Start Menu.

In addition, you may try the tips mentioned in this post to see if the problem still exists.

You could also post your issue on the XNA Community Forum to see if any community member has ever came across this issue and had solutions.
