I'm using VS2005 (with sp1) on Windows Vista to develop web apps.

Since having it, intellisense for classic adodb doesn't work, which is fair enough as we're all supposed to be dot net now.

However, having installed VS2005 on a Windows 2003 server, the intellisense works great for classic ADODB. So, what do I need to do to the Vista PC to get intellisense working.

You may have to install MDAC because Vista comes with the new Windows Data Access Components instead of MDAC, if that is not the issue then check permissions because Web development in Vista require higher level of permissions. The first link covers the MDAC issue in Vista and the second is permissions for Vista web development. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. It looks like it's MDAC that's the problem as the permissions are all as they should be. I'm having problems installing MDAC at the moment but that's more down to me than the software.
