I've attempted many times to install Visual Studio 2008 and I get the following error in the log file:***EndOfSession***[10/14/09,10:56:47] Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK R2 for Pocket PC: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK R2 for Pocket PC. MSI returned error code 1620.

And the Install stops.

However, I can use Visual Studio but there are errors while loading packages, and I can't use neither ADO.Net technology nor Silverlight.

I tried delete key registy in HKEY_LOCALMACHINE(...)DeviceSDKInsallter/1.0 but it's not effective.

So I really hope you can help.

I found solution. The real problem was the install of SP1 for Visual Studio was no effective. I downloaded SP1 and installed it lonely, and it works.

I notify that I use Windows XP Professionnal SP3, and ADO.Net and Silverlight worked when I used Express Editions of Visual Studio.
