I opened an RDL report created by someone else and the Tablix is covered with a big red x. The report will preview and run correctly I just can't see any of the tables to modify them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am using VS 2008 Team Suite with a SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Report Server. |

Hi Jonathan,
Yes, please submit the bugvia MSConnect if you have an RDL that repros it consistently.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Did you see the big red X in the RDL 2008 designer that comes in SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio?
If yes, please file an issue in MSConnect with the RDL and data (with non senstive info).
Thank you.

Stella,
Thank you for getting back to me.
What I am seeing via BI Dev. Studio. In design view of the reprot I see a big red x over the Tablix. I can click inside the dabel but I can't see the formulas or data that is supposed to be in there. Is that still something that you would like for me to submit via msconnect. Is there a way for me to post an image here? I could send you a screen shot of what I am seeing if that would help.

Just so you know your not alone. I had the same exact problem and filed a private bug on connect. Chris Guyer is currently my point of contact on that issue. |
