Don't kno if this is the right place to ask this question, but here it goes..

I loved everything about GAT, the concept of recipes, actions, context menus.. Gr8 job guys.. 1 thing that is very tedious is writing T4 templates.. (Man, if at all there was a cool T4 editor..) On my quest in finding 1, I found this..

I was too excited and when I installed the package, Visual Studio hangs whenever I open a t4 template in the editor window.. Wonder wht could be the problem??.. I think the culprit is the TextTemplating dll which is a different version than that is installed. Any suggestions and comments would be very helpful.

You should report this issue to Gaston. Seems like his language editor is not able to load and is hanging everything. It's not a GAX issue for sure.

An option would be to ask him to update the tool to the latest version of the texttemplating.dll, if that turns out to be the problem. If that's the problem, another thing you could try is adding a binding redirect for the version to the devenv.exe.config file. Not sure if it will work, though, as there were a few breaking changes in the T4 interfaces between GAX 1.0 and 1.1.

You may want to try the Clarius T4 Editor, featuring full syntax coloring, IntelliSense, autocompletion, etc, for both T4 parts and embedded C# code blocks.

This is very stable.
