Um, does anyone at Microsoft care or support GAT?

Isn't this a worrisome discovery. Go to the 'official' GAT forum at Microsoft, and not one support question or answer from anyone at Microsoft. Not even one Microsoft employee asking a question to show support for this forum.

So, if I want to know where the Web Application Project code is for the Guidance Automation Toolkit, exactly what do I do? Just another example of M$ throwing stuff at a wall, seeing what sticks. I guess GAT didn't stick...sighs.

Hi Andy,

There are answers in this forum regarding GAX/GAT current and future plans from Microsoft, I recall several ones by Tom Hollander and recently from Grigori Melnik.

What's exactly would be the "Web Application Project" code for the GAT? Do you mean the GUID:ID pair for WAP? If so, the first thing you would need to do is to understand what VS extensibility is and where GAT fits in that picture. There is no "code for GAT" as these are VS GUID:ID pairs and not GAT ones. Such a question would be more appropiate either for the VS extensibility forum or the ASP.Net forum, as the WAP is developed by them and not GAX/GAT.

If you care to browse the forums in detail you will notice that most of the questions are answered, lots of them with several follow up posts while trying to get to an answer.

cheers,
-Victor.

Hi,

agree with victor.
I begin to use gax one month ago and with "Hol" example, help from previous question find in this forum, msdn Envdte namespace documentation and reflector on existing gax assembly i had able to create a full toolset for generating classes for my existing framework.

When you download GAX, it's also clear that you download a CTP package too.

Try it and with very little effort you'll discover a very powerful tool that will allow your developpement team to gain lot of time and effort in their work.

Andy,

We do monitor the forum and ourMVPs answer most of the questions. We are also releasing a newversion of GAX/GAT (July CTP).

Re:"Web Application Project", I hopeVictor's answer was useful. If not, please clarify your question.
