our developers have asked to create a package for three editions of VSS 2008.

I've started with the Team system for developers edition (containing: document explorer 08, web authoring component 12, Team foundation client, guidance automation extensions and toolkit - july '07 versions).

They have confirmed that the base install works well, except for the fact that there is no entry for the guidance automation packages when you go to File / New / Project (there is no entry either in the Tools menu)

So far I have this on two semi identical windows XP SP2 stations,

the installations went well.

I have on both machines the microsof.practices ... files under visual studio 9\common7\ide\publicassemblies and the packages entry for gax/gat is present in the registry.

what's the problem here?
