I have searched all over the MS website and cannot find a copy of the June GAX MSI, which is needed so I can uninstall the June version to install the February version.
- Why do all the old links to the June version point to the newer version now?
- Why does the previous version of the GAX have to be removed first?
- Why does the previous version need the original MSI to be uninstalled?

Hi x.static,
Yes, uninstalling any previously installed guidance packages is a requirement -that usually is a pain- before trying to uninstall GAX. This is not really about having or not having the MSI handy, removing it through Control Panel should work.

It was prompting me for the original June '06 GAX MSI. In the end, I had to uninstall any and all apps that installed guidance recipes into VS before I was able to uninstall the June GAX.

Hi,
I tried uninstalling the previous June GAX. I believe part of the "uninstall" worked but stopped with a message informing me that I had to remove several other packages including the "Mobile Client Software Factory." When I tried to uninstall the Mobile Client Software Factory, I received a message stating "This installer requires Guidance Automation toolkit vers 1.1 which is not present on this computer. That is why I believe that the uninstall of the June GAX partially worked. I believe I must now reinstall June GAX before I can uninstall the other packages but, like the first poster, cannot find that package on this website. Does anyone have an answer for this?

Hi Foswell,
If you re-install June GAX then you be able to uninstall other guidance packages from your PC. If you have a problem with finding a installer of a June GAX please let me know I will find out it for you and e.g. send via mail. I am sure that Victor or Jose can help you if I can't.
