issue in VS2005 due to IE8

i already have visual studio 2005 prof. edition installed in my PC, everything was working fine with IE7, after upgrading to IE8, the create project wizard fails to create C++ smart device Windows Applications. in the wizard when i click "OK" after selecting Win32 Smart Device Project, the dialog box disapears and reappears in the same state , with the error message in the status bar , as error creating project.

after uninstalling IE8 everything was working fine, just to make sure if ie8 was problem , i again installed ie8 and the same problem reappeared, after uninstalling ie8 it disappeared. what has to be done to fix this issue.
