There is a lot of files/code in theGuidance Package Development Package. Is there a simplified Guidance Package Development Package or can anybody tell me how to simply create a Guidance Package that simply creates a solution with a c# library project that has has a recipe associated with it? Also how to make it appear under Project Types in the New Project dialog?

This is a common request due to the fact that the GAT-generated guidance package contains lots of stuff in it (and most of them not-very-useful at all). This is the reason why we added a new Create Solution wizard in SFT where you get asked a couple of questions and you end up with a pretty clean solution (no unwanted stuff at all) to start working on. If you want to start from File->New Project and want to learn all that's necessary to write a gudance package from scratch there was a post from [I can't remember right now!] that list the several steps you need to get a skeleton working solution. You should be able to easily find it if you google it.
