GAT/GAX February 2007 CTP now available

The patterns & practices team is pleased to (finally) announce the availability of the February 2007 CTP of the Guidance Automation Extensions (GAX) and Guidance Automation Toolkit (GAT)! This is a minor maintenance release from the previous June 2006 CTP, incorporating a number of fixes including updates to work more smoothly with Windows Vista. The complete list of fixes and improvements is in the included release notes and also available to read here.

For more details on this release, please read the announcement on my blog. In particular, please note that you will need to uninstall any existing guidance packages and software factories before upgrading to the new release of GAX, and you will need to download updated MSIs for the Web Service Software Factory and Mobile Client Software Factorythat work with the new release.

Can this be intalled on Orcas March CTP?If not, when will I get the bit which is available on Orcas ctp?

The February 2007 CTP has given me a bunch of problems. I tried installing it and it said that the older versions needed to be removed. I went ahead and removed both the GAT and the GAX that I originally had and tried to install this one. It gives me an Unable to load MetaGuidancePackageInstaller.dll assembly error. Is there anything that we should be aware of? Any help in this matter would be highly appreciated.

Hello,
I just wanted to point out that I un-installed everything with my Anti-Virus turned off and it seemed to clean up and then I re-installed the new extensions. The Anti-Virus seemed to be the case here. I may be wrong, but it worked on my box.
