Hi there,

I've created my own custom Guidance Package using Guidance Automation Toolkit 2005 (July 2007 CTP).

Now, I want to migrate from VS2005 to VS2008.

I was able to install Guidance Extensions for VS2008 (February 2008 Release), but i can´t install Guidance Automation Toolkit for 2008, becausethere is the following error:

"A previous version of Guidance Automation Toolkit is already installed and must be removed prior to installing this version".

I´ve already tried...

1) Uninstall the previous version of Guidance Automation Toolkit;

2) Use Msizap to uninstall the Packages;

3)Remove manually the Packages

ButIstill get theerror message while installing...

Hi,

It seems like I have a similar problem:

Did not know that I had any packages installed. I still don't think that I have, but I get the following error when trying to run "GuidanceAutomationToolkitForVS2008.msi" :

"A previous version of Guidance Automation Toolkit is already installed and must be removed prior to installing this version".

- Guidance Automation Toolkit does not show up in Add/Remove programs. (Only the Guidance Automation Extensions)
- RecipeFramework*.xml file does not contain any GuidancePackages just the empty element

Would be very happy for advice.
