When I try to install the Application Block software factory from the Application Block Factory\BlockFactory\BlockFactorySetup\setup.exe, I get almost all the way through the installation when it stops with multiple occurrences of an error similar to the followiing:

Error 1001: Exception occurred while initializing the installation
System.IO.FileLoadException. Could not load file or assembly
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.BlockFactoryInstaller, Version=0.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b3f5...... or one of its dependencies. Strong..

Environment:
Windows Server 2003 R2 Sp1
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Version 8.0.50727.867
.Net Framework 2.0Version 2.0.50727 SP2
Visual Studio 2008 SP1 beta
.Net Framework 3.5 SP1 beta

Hi Fred,

Have you checked the EntLib forums @ codeplex to see if this is may be a known issue of their installer? If this isn't a known EntLib installation issue we can try guiding you through a few steps that could help determining the cause for this.

For a start, are you running 32bit o 64bit OS?

The issue occurs on two separate 32-bit operating systems (1) Windows XP SP2 and (2) Windows Server 2003 R2 SP1, so at least the error is consistent.

I have not seen anything on the CodePlex site that mentions a bug in their installer. If you have heard of such an issue, please post a link to the information so I can take a look.
