Hi, there are some recipes that activates other recipes. This state is saved in a file where the solution is located. Sometimes the creation of the project fires recipes activation. Finally the recipes will be shown only if there is a reference for it.

For example in Enterprise Library the creation of a new Application Block registers the recipes for creating a new Provider, Provider Configuration ,etc. If you try to open a new default C# library class project and activate the Entlib's Guidance Package you won't be able to see the Provider's recipes because no one register them.

Hi idior,

If you re-enable (disable/enable) a guidance package in a solution all recipe references that are not unbound will get lost. This is by-design because of how references work in GAX. What recipes will 'dissaper' that depends on which references you've used to make it show in the first place. If you use unbound references they will show all the time no matter if you re-enable a package.
