Application Block Software Factory Templates

I have installed Enterprise Library 3.1, GAX and GAT, but when I go into Visual Studios 2005there is no Application Block Software Factory in the Projects Types under Guidance Packages. Did I miss a step in the setup? How do I get the Application Block Software Factory to show up as a Project Type?

Thanks

Adrian,

I wish it was a simple as that but I did have .Net Framework 3.0 installed. But I did figure it out andnow have the options for Application Block Software Factory within Visual Studios. I had to uninstall Entlib3.1 and .Net Framework 3.0 and then reinstall them and all is good now.

Thanks for all your help Adrian and Victor

Hi John,

I believe you don't have to do anything additional to get the EntLib installer to install the GP but I'm not really familiar with it.

I'll try to get Adrian (who wrote most of the AppBlock SF) to look at this and if that doesn't work I'll get you in touch with the guy who wrote the EntLib installer.

Hi John, you need .Net Framework 3.0 (this is the one you probably missed) and GAX installed prior to install the Entlib Application Block Software Factory. AFAIK GAT is not necessary. When you are running the Entlib installation wizard you should be able to see the "Application Block Software Factory" feature available to install.

You re-installed and they magically show up in Visual Studio? I haven't had such luck:-( is there anything else you needed to do?
