Hi,

It may not work properly if you use IE6.
Please also try other web browsers , someone found it works in this case.

Harry, my IE version is 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp_sp3_gdr. But I don't know why I can't use IE after I've tried to setup IE7. (it says something like 'Application not found')

Hi,

This may caused by bad installation.

Please try other web browsers.

You might want offline installation at the end of the page:
http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/

Many thanks to all. I've again set up C++ 2008 express using the link after having removed the previous installation. But I still have got the prompt to register that when accessing the tool. Then it keeps waitingfor something from the Microsoft site (which is)
https://profile.microsoft.com/RegSysProfileCenter/wizard.aspx?fu=http%3a%2f%2fmsdn.microsoft.com%2fen-us%2fvsreg%2fdefault.aspx%3frel%3dvs2008%26h%3df843e8f3527024ac%26pid%3d91909-152-0000052-60562%26bn%3d030729.01%26r%3dy%26lcid%3d1033&wizid=c25356b7-91cf-4efe-9b63-b96613cc330e&lcid=1033
like last time I've experienced!

Many Thanks & Best Regards, HuaMin Chen

It seems you did not get the right installer.
It's a .iso file , you need to burn it into a cd or open it with a virtual driver.
Then you caninstall visual studio express.
