After instaling Visual c++ 2008 express edition, I was prompted with a registration window when first running the program. I click on the register now link, and it takes me to msn, I sign in, and i it displays a loading animation. it never loads. what do I do?

Changing a web brouwser may solve the problem.
Also , a proxy may affect registration.

If that does not work, you might want to download an offline installation image which does not require registration from the bottom of this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/
