Can't register Microsoft C# Espress Edition

A friend of mine installed Microsoft C# Espress Edition on his machine. He used it a couple of times, and didn't register the product at that time. Now, a few months later, he wants to use the product, and gets prompted to register the product. He has tried going through the registration process a few times without luck. He gets a message that says something like "We are unable to process your request at this time, please try again....". I hope you have an idea for getting out of this situation catch 22.

Thanks for your help,
Mike

Express editions are free.

RagnaSun,
Thanks for your reply. I don't think my friend will have a problem downloading a new copy of C# Espress Edition and installing it on his machine. The trouble is going to be that the registration system will know that he has installed this product before, and will require that it be registered, so we go back to catch 22, as described above. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mikeondmsn,

Could you please try the following tricks to solve this issue:

- Try another default browser - like Firefox
- Make sure your internet proxy settings are configured correctly
- Try disabling any antivirus/internet security software while you try to register.
- Try resetting all the IE security settings to default (even if it's not your default browser).
- Make sure you are signed in with the correct email account that you have a Live ID with. If you're signed in with a different account, then it won't work.

Have a look at the Registration FAQ as it may help. If all else fails, you can try the offline install which doesn't require a registration key.

Hope this helps! :)
