crystel reports not showing any data

When I use crystel reports viewer in visual studio 2008; the viewer does not show my data. It brings up my colunm headers, such as employee Id, but does not show the data that goes along with it. can anybody tell me why? the data conection is made using the crystel reports wizard.

It's hard for us to see what the problem is. You might need to provide a project that can let us to reproduce it.

I'd suggest you work through a tutorial here:

Why should you have to do any coding at all on this when the report is created using the wizard and the datasources are selected there?  Is the report not bound to the data as a result of the wizard?

Also, where's the actual help file for creating a simple parent/child report/document such as an invoice or purchase order using Crystal Reports in a Windows application?  The help pages in VS2008 go off on a dozen different tangents without ever just showing a simple walkthrough to produce a data-showing report using the wizard.

You know, microsift report and viewer works fine, however, it seems that you have to go through a convoluted process of OBDC drivers to get the crystel reports to connect which I have unable to do. The process of connecting stright to the database does not work. OH, by the way the extension MDF uses what driver?
